Biking for Students

One popular method of transportation for students living on campus at Michigan State University is using bike trails.
Many bike trails on campus run parallel to sidewalks and allow students a faster alternative than walking.
Joshua Gonzalez, a sophomore at Michigan State, said his classes “vary around campus from one end to the other end so I usually bike.”
Another convenient aspect of riding a bike around campus is the service center on Farm Lane that enables students to rent a bike or have repairs done.
Shawn Hoffman, an alumnus of Michigan State and current MSU Bikes Service Center employee, said “(the MSU Bikes Service Center is) pretty cool because it’s an affordable way for a student to get a bike, and maintenance is included in the price of the bike, so it’s kind of a worry free way to get around campus.”
