Sparty's and Combo Exchange

It's no secret that when it comes to college students, reducing stress is always a positive. For students living on campus at Michigan State University, many amenities, such as the on campus combo exchange available at Sparty's locations throughout campus are provided to give students a quick meal if they don't have time to visit a dining hall. Christina Schumm, a sophomore at MSU said "I like Sparty’s because they have the best coffee ever and it’s really convenient.” Schumm said that she plans on moving to an apartment complex located right next to Brody neighborhood so that she can still eat dinner and purchase items from the Sparty’s there when she needs something quick and convenient. “Still having that market around there is going to be really nice,” Schumm said.

On Campus Dining Halls

For many students at Michigan State University, the prospect of having unlimited meals at campus dining halls is enough to keep them from moving off campus. For some, something as seemingly small as a popular meal can play a role in a student's decision Lynn Ferro, a sophomore at MSU, said "This year I decided to live on campus, and one of the main things that was a contributing factor was the fact that I had Brody caf. Every week they have this great entree, the eggplant parmesan, I get about five pieces it's really good." Dining halls can also be a determining factor in which neighborhood a student elects to reside in on campus. "(Brody's cafeteria has) the most selection, whereas like (Shaw dining hall) it's just too busy, Brody is huge, and there's just so much selection there for me.
